What are the tasks of GovCERT Austria?
At the national level, GovCERT Austria’s function is to liaise between the individual public administrative bodies:
- Collection and assessment of incidents in connection with operative ICT-applications (information and communication technology) of the federal, provincial, city and municipal administrations;
- Coordination of countermeasures to remove an attacker from the system;
- Procurement and evaluation of information from public and non-public sources.
GovCERT Austria employs the technical resources and technical qualifications of CERT.at to deal with security-related incidents.
